Who Are Our Coaches?
To become a StoryLearning coach, you need to be exceptional.
This is easy to say, but we mean it.
(Of course, if you’ve learned with us before, you already know this.)
To become a StoryLearning coach, first you must have a university-level language teaching qualification. Without this, you don’t even get through the door.
Next, you must have years of extensive, real-world teaching experience. This means you understand how students actually learn.
During interviews, coaches give demonstration lessons to members of our StoryLearning team who pose as students! That’s how much effort we put into looking for talent.
Lastly, we then train our coaches on the StoryLearning method.
Only once a coach has demonstrated a deep understanding of story-based language learning, do we accept them onto the programme.

How Do I Enroll?
You’ll have two packages to choose from – “Gold” and “Platinum”
Gold Package
One 10-week VIP package. (Your new language will improve by one entire proficiency level.)
Platinum Package
Four 10-week VIP packages in 12 months. (You’ll achieve fluency in your new language in the next year.) Save 25% on the full fees!
(Both packages include two personal coaching lessons a week for the duration.)

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the time commitment for VIP?
StoryLearning VIP lasts for 10 weeks. During this time you will have 2 weekly personal sessions with your coach, which are arranged according to your personal availability.
In addition to this, you should be prepared to study the course material for 1 hour a day.
When does StoryLearning VIP begin?
Right away! Enrol in StoryLearning VIP today and you'll be able to take your first coaching session next Monday. In the meantime, we'll onboard you to the programme, match you with a coach and get you set up with your study materials so you're all set for 10 weeks of success!
Why can’t I hire just a language tutor online instead?
To properly learn a new language, you have to get many things right:
• The learning method
• Your personal commitment
• Speaking practice that complements your learning
• How you direct your study time
• Access to quick feedback
StoryLearning VIP works because it gives you the complete structure you need to succeed with your new language.
Will I get to practise speaking too?
Absolutely! You will have 2 hours per week of dedicated speaking practice. However, unlike regular tutoring, your tutor will help you practise what you’ve been learning from the course material. This creates a “learning loop”, which is what makes coaching so effective.
How does scheduling work?
As you have personal sessions with your tutor, you can arrange all your learning at a time that suits you. During enrollment, you will let us know which days and times you are free. We will match you with a coach who is available during those times.
Once you’ve been paired with your coach, you’ll receive a special private booking link to book your sessions with them.
Do I need to have the Uncovered course to join StoryLearning VIP?
The coaching programme follows the curriculum of Uncovered, and one level of the course is included in your VIP package. You may choose whether to repeat a level you have already studied, or whether to begin a new level. Your coach will help you determine what’s right for you.
If you choose the Platinum package, you’ll get access to four levels of Uncovered and work through one level during each of the four VIP cohorts you complete in 2024.
Is this coaching suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. StoryLearning VIP is suitable for complete beginners, or advanced learners. You will follow the curriculum of Uncovered that matches your level.
What level is StoryLearning VIP for?
All levels. Our StoryLearning curriculum stretches from complete Beginner to Advanced… and even Mastery level!
When you join VIP, you select the level you feel is most appropriate. Then, in consultation with your coach, you can confirm this at the start of the programme.
What kind of Spanish will my coach speak?
If you're learning Spanish, we work with two varieties:
• Iberian Spanish (from Spain)
• Neutral Latin American
We encourage you not to worry too much about varieties of Spanish during the learning process. By far the most important thing is that you make a breakthrough in your own learning, and your coach will help you achieve that!
Do I get to pick my coach?
We will pair you with a coach who we believe best fits your learning needs, both for time zone / availability, and, in the case of Spanish, for the particular variety.
Will my coach teach me my new language or do I also need to find a tutor?
Everything you need to make a breakthrough is included in the VIP programme, including learning material, coaching and speaking practise.
What kind of guarantee do you offer?
If, for whatever reason, you're unhappy at the end of the 10 weeks, we'll offer you another 10-week VIP package FREE!
All we ask is that you demonstrate that you've fully completed the coursework, and you'll receive a complimentary access pass to the next VIP cohort.
Can I pause the programme if I can’t keep up?
If I join the Platinum package, what dates will the rest of the cohorts run on?
• You'll begin your first cohort next Monday
• Between now and then you'll be onboarded into the VIP programme and matched with your coach
• Your first cohort runs for 10 weeks
• After that you'll start a new cohort once every 3 months until the end of your platinum package
If you choose the Platinum package, you’ll get access to four VIP cohorts - that's one whole year of language coaching! - so you can finally achieve fluency in your target language.
We have a short break of 2-3 weeks between cohorts so you’ll have plenty of time to catch up on missed lessons, review what you’ve learned and of course, take a well earned break!
